What is CFS BlackBook

CatFish Services (CFS) BlackBook is a wireless system that connects directly (in-person meetings) and indirectly (text messages) with men who are online seeking to arrange meetings with street-level prostitutes.  The goal is to inform them about the truth behind what is often viewed as a mutually agreed upon, yet illegal, sexual encounter between consenting adults. Learn More

What is CFS LiveFeed?

CFS LiveFeed provides raw and unfiltered commentary on various topics specifically related to street-level prostitution. We delve into the collateral consequences of this complex issue and offer insightful, cost-effective suggestions for meaningful change. Our approach aims to foster understanding and promote solutions that can positively impact individuals and communities alike.

What is prostitution?

Prostitution is the practice of engaging in relatively indiscriminate sexual activity, in general, with someone who is not a spouse or a friend, in exchange for immediate payment in money or other valuables. It is also the unworthy or corrupt use of one's talents for personal or financial gain. An example of this second type can be observed in the segment of women who become pregnant solely to secure welfare benefits for themselves and the men they take care of.

Street level prostitution vs. Call girls?

Street-level prostitution is distinctly characterized and differentiated from the more nuanced “call girl” system of prostitution in various respects. Most call girl services are generally not publicly advertised, in stark contrast to street-level sex workers who openly and wantonly promote “sex for sale” in various public areas and venues. This discreet nature of call girl services often means they operate more behind the scenes, utilizing personal networks and private channels to connect with potential clients.

The minimum fee required by a call girl may begin as low as $250/hr. - two-hour minimum  (considered “low scale”) to as much as $30,000 a night (so-called upscale “GFE” - girlfriend experience providers) that is charged for sexual services.

Street level prostitution is predominantly characterized by the established fee scale for sexual services at the street level, which averages around  $40, nationally. In certain circumstances, the fee can plummet to as little as $5. The sex worker who is willing to engage in this price range ($5 to $40) is known to be someone who is driven to prostitute themselves to secure funds for street drugs - known either by reputation or their apparent condition.

It is a widely recognized fact that many individuals who work as street sex workers are often hardcore drug addicts who will do just about anything to secure money to purchase drugs. Therefore, it logically follows that when one provides money to an addict in exchange for "sex," they are, in essence, channeling funds directly to street-level drug dealers operating within communities that are frequently classified or referred to as "high crime areas." This cycle not only perpetuates the struggles of those involved but also contributes to the broader issues faced by neighborhoods grappling with addiction and crime - funded by men who are otherwise considered to be law-abiding citizens; and in some instances, public servants.

What drives a man to seek human contact?

CFS may conduct more than 500 conversations and in-person meetings a month. Of that number, more than two-thirds are married men. The main complaint these men had was that they were married to women who viewed genuine love and affection as a direct threat to principles of feminine identity. One man shared that his wife said, "A woman's pleasure shouldn't rely on a man” so they had a scheduled “marital duty” sex life devoid of intimacy. So they sought the company of prostitutes or women who “spend time”.

Some men were married to wives who were seriously ill, such as those undergoing chemotherapy treatments, and they might feel compelled to secretly venture out while their wives were receiving medical care. This is why CFS chooses not to report on these men. Most of them had seemingly legitimate reasons for wanting to seek immediate (convenient)  human contact.

Does CFS report these men to law enforcement?

Street level prostitutes are often sought after by men who desire a cozy movie night or simply want to hang out and engage in meaningful conversation (the “Girlfriend Experience”, GFE). If intimacy happens during the GFE then fine, but it is not a requirement. These men are commonly referred to as “regulars,” a term that describes men who have had at least one sexual encounter with a prostitute yet choose to continue supporting her drug habit by providing her with daily financial assistance. He may regularly provide her with no less than $300 to $400 a week, often without expecting any sexual favors in return. He does this by responding to her numerous and repeated requests for “pocket change” ($20-$50) — funds his wife wouldn’t even notice were gone. These may appoint themselves a monetary resource based on the mistaken belief that they can prevent her from engaging in prostitution if they give her money - even when they know the money is going to be used to buy drugs.

This is why CFS chooses not to destroy these men, as they genuinely have good intentions when it comes to women who are on the street. Many of these individuals sincerely want to see these women recover from their circumstances and live healthier, more productive lives. Some men have even gone so far as to transport women to rehabilitation centers and have actively gotten involved with child services to help reunite them with children who were taken into foster care. While there are as many success stories as there are failures in this endeavor, it is essential to recognize that this well-meaning approach is inadvertently destroying communities and contributing to the spread of drugs along with every social issue that follows in its wake.

Who is against CFS

The primary opposition against CFS predominantly comes from women who have accused CFS of attempting to “control” women; they argue that CFS is attempting to dictate whom a woman can and cannot engage in sexual relations with. These critics are those who live by the street principle that “if a man can have sex with multiple women without being looked upon as being  bad, then a woman should be able to have sexual relationships with multiple men without being called a whore.” Consequently, certain communities experience notably a high incidence of sexually transmitted diseases and infections, a situation exacerbated by both men and women who promote the belief that engaging in indiscriminate, unprotected sexual practices is honorable and an indication of responsible independence from otherwise deviant “social norms”.

Is CFS a non profit organization?

CFS activities and methods are designed to serve a vital community purpose. In this particular context, CFS's nonprofit status would appropriately fall under the category of 501(c)(4) rather than the more conventional 501(c)(3) designation typically associated with charitable organizations. Under the specific guidelines of 501(c)(4) status, all funding must be derived exclusively from law enforcement grants, which poses certain challenges for CFS. Our methods and practices are founded on deception (catfishing). This approach, however, is one that law enforcement agencies cannot condone due to ethical considerations, even if the process yields a positive result. Additionally, the reporting requirements outlined for 501(c)(4) status stand in stark contrast to CFS operational policies. CFS would be required to report the catfished men to local authorities for prosecution if CFS were funded by law enforcement grants. CFS does not agree with the reporting requirement, though we understand the law enforcement requirement itself, because it could destroy a family, marriage, job, and reputation.
